Originally from Llandudno, and after spending 10 years in London, I’ve moved back to the seaside with my husband and little girl, ready to spend more time outside!
I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2014 with a BA (hons) in Music Theatre and then went on to study at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where I gained a Masters in Music Theatre with distinction.
After training, I worked as an actor and then found my passion for teaching drama and musical theatre, working for one of the country’s leading children’s drama schools - first as a teacher and workshop facilitator and then working my way to running their education department - working with teachers and primary schools nationwide and developing curriculum-based drama workshops to help bring learning to life.
While I only officially launched North Wales Academy of Music and Drama in 2025, I have been teaching privately since 2015 and set up the London to Beijing Drama Development Programme in 2018, running musical theatre holiday camps in Beijing and online.
In 2016, I co-founded The Hidden Theatre Company, championing new writing. We produced two new musicals as part of London’s vibrant fringe theatre scene and set up a regular script reading group and scratch night to help writers bring their work off the page, often for the first time. Some pieces from this have gone on to complete small scale tours, Edinburgh Fringe runs and develop into much longer works. I was lucky enough to be awarded the Equity Young Members Grant in 2017, which provided funds to help launch the company and we went on to have work selected as part of the John Thaw Initiative at The Actors Studio.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me on the beach or in the woods - making the most of our beautiful surroundings with my little girl and husband - or drinking tea with a few chocolate biscuits!
