1. Trial Session
Every child is entitled to one trial session.
Trial sessions may either be offered at a discounted rate of £5 or, on advertised occasions or with discount codes, for free.
Trial sessions must be arranged in advance by contacting the Academy via phone or email and any discounts must be presented at the time of booking.
2. Booking and Payment
Following the free trial, classes can be booked as:
Single sessions, or
Blocks of 10 sessions.
All bookings must be made in advance via phone, email or via ClassHoppa.
Payment options include:
PayPal
Bank transfer
Cash payment at the class
Online payment via ClassHoppa (subject to 5% booking fee)
No refunds are available once a session or block is booked.
3. Missed Classes
We do not offer refunds for missed sessions.
However, if you notify us at the time of booking about any planned absences, we will make every effort to:
Extend the block and add replacement sessions at the end, subject to availability.
Missed sessions without prior notice cannot be rescheduled or credited.
4. Registration and Student Information
A registration form must be completed for each child before their first session, including the free trial.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that all details remain accurate and up to date, including:
Emergency contact information
Medical or special requirements
Any other relevant details
Keeping information current allows us to provide the best and safest learning environment for all students.
5. LAMDA Examinations
All children will be offered the opportunity to take part in LAMDA examinations at least once annually, although participation is entirely optional.
Children will work on the required exam material during class, but are expected to also practice at home to ensure the best possible result.
Exams will be booked in advance by North Wales Academy of Music and Drama, and an exam timetable will be provided to participants.
Exams must be paid for in advance; details of how to do this will be provided at the time of booking.
Exams may be held:
In-person at a venue within your county, or
Online, depending on availability.
You must ensure your child is on time for their exam, as missed exams cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

North Wales Academy of Music and Drama cannot take responsibility for the outcome of any exam.
6. Class Cancellations and Cover Teachers
If we ever need to cancel a class, we will inform parents as soon as possible.
We will always do everything possible to avoid cancellations.
In cases where a regular teacher is unavailable, a cover teacher may be provided.
All cover teachers will have been thoroughly vetted in line with our Safer Recruitment Procedure, ensuring the same high standards of care and professionalism.
7. Private Classes
Private classes may be booked as a one-off session or as a course of sessions.
These can take place:
Via Zoom
In your home, or
At one of our venues (after regular classes, subject to space and with prior notice).
All private sessions must be booked in advance.
Payment can be made by:
PayPal
Bank transfer
Cash
Private classes are non-refundable.
With suitable notice, we will do our best to reschedule private classes, subject to availability.
Private sessions may include 1 student or a group of up to 3.
All private sessions are bespoke and tailored to the goals and development of the student(s).
We require at least 7 days’ notice to change the structure, content, or learning objectives of any booked private class.
8. Schools
For one-off workshops, payment is required at least 7 days in advance of the workshop date.
For clubs, the school is responsible for:
Providing the Academy’s leader with a full list of children’s names and relevant details, and
Sharing the school’s tick-out or dismissal procedure to ensure the safety of all participants.
Clubs can accommodate a maximum of 15 children per leader.
Payment arrangements for clubs will be subject to agreement prior to booking.
Cancellations made by the school are at the discretion of North Wales Academy of Music and Drama.
If a club or workshop is cancelled by us, we will provide as much notice as possible and will endeavour to reschedule where feasible.
9. General Terms
Data Protection
While we are currently exempt from formal registration, we fully adhere to the principles of the Data Protection Act.
Personal data collected is used solely for the purpose of providing educational services and maintaining a safe environment.
Information is stored securely and only shared where necessary in line with safeguarding obligations.
Health and Injury
We take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment.
Parents and guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries relevant to their child’s participation.
In the event of injury or illness, appropriate first aid will be administered, and parents will be contacted.
By attending classes, parents consent to emergency medical treatment if required and if a parent cannot be reached in time.
Personal Property
North Wales Academy of Music and Drama cannot be held responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought to classes or events.
Students are encouraged to bring only essential items and to label their possessions clearly.
Agreement
By booking a class, private session, exam, club, or workshop, all parents/guardians and school partners are deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
